PROLED designs, assembles and distributes LED luminaires mainly for professional applications. The company targets small projects and distributes through a broad network of re-sellers and installers, providing stable cash flows and avoiding project risks.

Perusa acquired a majority stake in MBN PROLED (Germany) as ancor investment in 2017 and the add-ons UNI-BRIGHT (Belgium) in 2018 and mawa (Germany) in 2021.

A transition from the founder owners to a new external management team has been secured in 2020 and an international sales team was built.

Since the acquisition, PROLED’s revenues and EBITDA more than doubled through  buy&build and organic growth. PROLED seeks further add-ons in the fragmented European LED-lighting market with focus on the high-margin segment.
